We are part of the network "Tourism Otherwise," which advocated a tourism fair, supportive and ethical.

Our field activities designed to preserve nature, protect local cultures and to ensure mutual understanding and respect between visitors and the visited.

our values
We develop our travel and tours with some ethics. To travel is to respect, understand, discover, but also think about tomorrow. That is why we are particularly attached to certain values:

• Leaving the scene such as we find them ...
Each adventure is organized so as to leave no waste at the sites visited. After each run from us, deserts, mountains and beaches must be left in perfect condition, in the interests of responsible and sustainable tourism.

• Respect the water points, fauna and flora ...
By using organic products, and taking care to leave as little footprint on the ecosystem we visit.

• 'Clean Deserts "
Waste recycling and treatment is a normal practice for our teams. Some wastes are transported to landfills cities or nearby villages.

• Traditions and customs, immersion and respect ...
Travel must allow the meetings, which is why we offer many homestay and cohabitation with Berber villagers or nomads formulas. However, respect for cultures and traditions all goes hand in hand with great respect, which we are very attached.

• Fair tourism, shared resources ...

voyage maroc agadir/

resort closest to Europe. The exceptional site of the city includes a beautiful bay, the sunniest in the world. 20 km of beach rejoice all year thousands of vacationers, even in winter. European city par excellence, Agadir has the largest hotel park Morocco.

Located between the peaks of the High Atlas, the Souss is an extremely fertile area called "orchard of Morocco". With vegetable and fruit crops in the eye, the Souss's main outlet international port of Agadir. No wonder the city has long been called "the port of the Souss" and is today the largest port in Morocco after Casablanca.

Almost entirely destroyed by an earthquake in February 1960, Agadir was rebuilt as a modern city plan. You've got it, do not go to Agadir to discover traditional Moroccan city, but rather to enjoy the beach and trips to the region, particularly in the Souss Massa National Park.

City History

Probably founded by the Berbers, Agadir immediately attracts sailors along its coast. Bay sheltered from the wind, fertile land and fresh water source (the "founty"), Agadir has it all. In 1505, the Portuguese established a trading post there and build a port.

In 1541, the Saadian Sultan Mohammed Sheikh, interested in Agadir strategic position to control the "Golden Road", captured the city. In the seventeenth century, Agadir is controlled by the Berbers. The port trade is growing strongly, the prosperous city

In 1760, Sultan Sidi Mohammed ben Abdallah Alawi is jealous of that port trade with Europe. He built the port of Essaouira a hundred kilometers north to divert European trade. It is a blow to Agadir and the city gradually depopulated. In the early twentieth century, the Agadir population is less than 1000 inhabitants.

The first half of the twentieth century saw the return of Agadir on the economic scene. Agriculture and fisheries allow the city to develop a major port. Canneries are built and Agadir became the first sardine port in the world. This business has also never ceased, Agadir today is the first fishing port in the country.

Unfortunately, February 29, 1960 at 11:47 p.m., the city was devastated by a massive earthquake that will make 15,000 dead. Almost all the houses are destroyed in seconds. The whole country is very moved and reconstruction of Agadir is a national challenge. Two years later, the city rising from the ashes ... in compliance with earthquake standards.

Today, Agadir is an important economic center, with its port. Second tourist city in Morocco after Marrakech, the city is known for its beautiful seaside resort.

A visiter :
L'ancienne casbah

Guide to Eco and Sustainable Tourism in Thailand

Responsible Tourism as a concept started to appear in Thailand in the late 1990s.
It is based on the belief that the tourist industry in Thailand should develop in a manner that minimizes negative impacts on local communities and the environment.
A foundation of Thailand Eco Tourism is to ensure a positive interaction between hosts and visitors/tourists. Responsible travel in Thailand also promotes the respect for original inhabitants (ex. Chang Mai area hill tribe villages), the reduction of the environmental impacts of travelling.
A Sustainable tourism experience in Thailand can also be enhanced by the participation in volunteering to assist local villages / families or environmental agencies (ex. Lampang Elephant conservation center on the Chiang Mai Highway).
On the financial side Thailand Responsible Tourism should always benefit the final service provider and local communities contrary to an international booking agents or resorts.
How to minimize the impact of your Thailand's holidays?
Nowadays you have many options to minimize the impact of your holiday and to make sure your money goes to the locals. Here's a list of suggestions:
How to minimize your traveling impact:
  • avoid internal flights since they are destructive to the environment and usually benefit only some foreign multinationals companies

  • use train travel when possible. Trains are very safe, clean and reliable in Thailand. They offer a great way to reduce your impact on the environment and at the same time offer a great way to engage with the real Thailand.

  • There are many sleeper trains running from Bangkok to Chang Mai in the north as well to Surat Thani in the south (going as south as Malaysia) enabling you to travel overnight without losing precious time.

  • use minibus that runs on natural gas. In case you need to use a minibus push for one that runs on natural gas.

  • Thailand government is promoting alternative fuels like natural gas and ethanol to replace gasoline so every push in this direction from the tourist industry will be even more beneficial.
Choose the most eco friendly accommodation:
  • avoid big resorts. This type of resorts waste huge amount of energy in construction/running, produce huge amount of waste and exploit local workers. At the same time they reduce your possibility to interact with locals and see the real Thailand.

  • Big resort centers like Phuket, Pattaya and Koh Samui are starting to resemble more and more overcrowded western resort beaches with little left to remind you of Thailand.

  • sleep in a Homestay. Homestay project are gaining popularity in Thailand. Basically you will sleep in a traditional family home sharing meals and activities with your hosting family. This is a great way to sample the traditional Thai life while at the same time benefit local communities.

  • Homestay are slowly gaining popularity and it's now possible to find reliable ones in every region and landscape. From historical cities like Ayutthaya to south jewel islands like Koh Yao Noi.

  • sleep in National Parks Accommodation. When visiting marine on land based National Parks sleep in the accommodation offered by the Park authority. You can chose between comfortable bungalows and tents closer to nature. All the profit will be used to sustain and improve the National Park conservation.

  • Accommodationin the most famous parks like Koh Similan National Park and Mu Ko Phetra National Park gets sold out pretty quickly and so for last minute booking try to visit / sleep in less famous ones like Koh Tarutato National Park in the deep south or Khao Sok National Park close to Surat Thani and Phuket.
If you wish to include a Tour to Hill Tribe Villages in the north of the country while visiting Chang Mai, Chang Rai or Pai chose only local small s

The Effects of the Revolution on Business and Tourism in Egypt

From a tourist point of view, prior to January of 2011 there was a thriving Egypt Tourism business, it died instantly with the demonstrations and Government Travel Warnings. There are a few tourists returning, but most of the Travel Warnings are still in place even though demonstrations are not affecting the tourist sites. The inquiries start to build back up and as soon there is negative media again on the TV the inquiries drop and those in process cancel.
Many of the Tourism Business, Hotels, Nile Cruises, and even the camel vendors offering rides at the Pyramids have suffered drastically. Many not even able to feed their animals. Egypt was and is dependent to a large extent on the Tourism Business. It will return when Egypt stays out of the negative media, but for now it has devastated the industry completely.
The tourist industry hired a large % of the population and now these people are out of work, some have gone out of business, and many struggle to feed their families. Unemployment especially among the young people is the highest is has ever been, and people struggle daily just to feed their families. Egyptians in general are innovative, wonderful people, warm and hospitable, and it is sad to see them suffering.
Mubarak's autocratic rule controlled everything including the media and TV, and the average person was living on less than $2 a day. There wasn't a day go by when Mubaraks face wasn't plastered in the papers and TV telling the population how wonderful (he thought) he was.
Corruption in Egypt was rampant, its still there but now most of the Ministers have gone it has become easier to open a business. Previously you basically paid under the counter for anything you wanted to do with the government. It's not as prevalent as it was - previously to open a business and get the necessary licenses you had to know someone to get to the Minister and then needed to pay the Minister a large fee in order to get approval for the license, then pay under the counter down the line to get it processed and activated. Now many small businesses are popping up all over the place taking advantage of the fact that the old guard is gone and before any new rules come into place.
In the wake of the revolution we feel that Tourism will return as there is a pent up interest in Egypt, but it will take the halt of negative media to bring it back. Yes the demonstrations where awful with the hired thugs and security police attacking the peaceful demonstrators, but these where limited to specific areas in Cairo, Alexandria and Suez, and in general the rest of Egypt moves on with everyday life. Those tourists who have returned are enjoying the uncrowded sites.
I am convinced that most of the situations like the attack on the Israeli Embassy, and the attacks on the Coptic Churches where staged events in an attempt by the old guard to create fear and bad relations and in order to have an excuse to bring back Marshall law, which they reinstated immediately after these events.
People forget that there are 18 million people in Cairo so even a 100,000 people in the square is still a small number in comparison. When you consider that Egypt has 80 million people restricted to areas along the Nile and coast away from the desert, and that it is only the size on one of the Provinces of Canada or one US State and when by comparison you consider that Canada has 33 million people across Canada it helps to put it in better perspective.
The elections although welcomed have been difficult as Political Parties were not allowed to form under the old regime, meaning that once the old regimen was overthrown they had little time to get organized into the necessary political groups to really put forth the proper programs and people they actually need to run the country efficiently. Once a new Civilian Government is in place it is generally felt that with time there is hope for the future and that business opportunities will start to come with foreign investments.
Basically Egypt has always had a dual monetary system, one price for Egyptians and another much higher price for foreigners. I understand in general that they need new money to come in to help them build, but imposing high taxes on foreign investors is not the way to build. Hopefully the new Government when in place will look at foreign investments as a way to help unemployment and opportunities for growth. Only time will tell.

Tips in Teaching English for Specific Purposes (ESP) for Tourism

English for Specific Purposes (ESP) is a course designed to meet specific needs of the learners and helps them to accomplish their English skills. They get the possibility to use the language for their needs, for example, for tourism purposes. The students will be able to understand and use the vocabulary they will use in the class and will acquire knowledge that would help them develop their future careers as hotel manager, tourist guide, holiday representative etc.
In order the course to be successful the teacher has to design an appropriate syllabus, which will include activities that would be in accordance with the learners' needs. It depends on the learners of what kind of tourism jobs they are interested. The teacher should prepare materials that would interest and benefit the learners. The teacher's knowledge about tourism and the appropriate materials for this course are what make the intended goal achieved. If the teacher uses only the textbooks for tourism, then that course will be the same as studying English in general. These activities will help learners broaden their vocabulary and knowledge related to tourism and will facilitate teachers to create an appropriate and enjoyable environment for the learners when teaching English for tourism.
Activities
  1. Posters and fly swatter- by using these activities students learn all the vocabulary words that have to do with planning and managing accommodation. The appropriate materials for this activity are booking forms.

  2. Video clips- by watching video clips that have to do with meeting and greeting customers, the learners get to know how to behave with customers.

  3. Role play- learners practice conversations, by playing the role as the hotel manager and the other one as a customer, also they practice different ways for introducing products to customers, by making them offers. In this activity the learners can use objects.

  4. Teacher presentation- by using the computer, the teacher presents to the students how to plan work schedules for the employee.

  5. Interview- one student takes the role as the hotel manager and the other one as the candidate that needs to be employed in the hotel, and the hotel manager interviews the candidate to see his/her skills. This activity helps the learners how to communicate best face-to-face.

  6. Group work- the learners will be able to organize and conduct tours, by practicing in the classroom. For example, from each group of the class, a volunteer would be the tourist guide and give information to visitors (students) for different places. Magazines and pictures are used as materials for this activity.

  7. Debate- by using debates the learners of tourism will be able to communicate with diverse groups of people.

  8. Corpora- students need to search materials and be prepared, because they have to give information to visitors about history, art, architecture, etc. The students work in pairs, because they learn from one another. Corpora also help learners for organizing and managing different activities. It is appropriate to use authentic materials and the internet.

  9. Giving advice- by using this activity the learners become responsible for solving problems. They work in pairs. One student has the problem card and the other one need to find a solution about the particular problem. The materials used for this activity are problem cards.

  10. Dialogues- help the learner practice of how to welcome customers, how to behave with them and what to offer them. Handouts are useful

Why Dental Tourism Is Flourishing in Costa Rica

Everybody seems to be talking about Costa Rica these days whether it be for adventure tourism, eco-tourism, adventure tourism for women, wellness etc. Bottom line is if it has tourism attached to it than some enterprising foreigner is trying to make it happen in Costa Rica. Costa Rica is on everyone's lips these days for very good reason. It has one of the most inviting tourism models in the world being at once peaceful, unique in myriad ways, possessing of perfect weather, and most importantly it is easily accessible especially by North Americans. Where else on earth can a 7 day vacation be guaranteed sunny in the months of December through April. Only one place that I know of and that is the region of Guanacaste whose unique tropical dry rainforest climate seems almost custom made for the snowbirds from the north. You did hear me correctly. Guaranteed sunny days from December to April every year. One of Costa Rica's unique attributes is the abundance of micro climates, Guanacaste being one of the most important to the booming tourism industry.
A Truly Homegrown & Important Brand of Tourism
While mentioning that every gringo and her brother are down fostering a new plan for some new kind of experience like "adventure bird watching while white water rafting tourism" there is one important set of attractions that are quite proudly almost 100% home grown. The important field of medical tourism or medical travel has become quite important to Costa Rica. Recently Costa Rica became the third most traveled destination for the medical tourist from North America. Needless to say North America is a pretty big market regarding medical care. Just ask Obama. And while there are a wide variety of procedures being offered in Costa Rica above all people seem to feel safest trusting their teeth to the highly qualified physicians in Costa Rica.
Why is Dental Tourism to Costa Rica so Big?
Look it is hard and perhaps even a bit scary to make a life changing decision when you are ill. If you are suffering from heart disease, or joint disorders or some other type of malady let's face it, you are basically sick and probably not feeling too great. So the decision to hop on a plane with something as scary as triple bypass is not the same as considering jumping on a plane for a few days and saving up to 70% to have some of the latest implant technology performed on your mouth. Bottom line you get a few implants and you get out of the chair and taxi back to some paradise like retreat just outside of San Jose with all the amenities, a huge pool, utter tranquility and if you are like me a couple of daiquiris no matter what the doc says. Next day you are ready to go bird watching on a white water raft or whatever. Bottom line is dental work is not as invasive and scary as some of the aforementioned procedures. Most importantly people with dental problems don't feel sick most of the time and want to look and feel better about themselves.
Who has Dental Insurance anyway?
With most Americans paying for dental out of pocket these days the idea of saving up to 70% even after and including travel costs is something to make an intelligent person sit up and take notice. The idea of flying to a warm sunny and beautiful location a few hours away begins to make more sense and once you find that most of the top dentists in Costa Rica have training in the United States well we start to approach no brainer status here. Costa Rica has a terrific track record in regards dental tourism specifically.

Why Has Dubai Tourism Gotten So Popular?

Dubai has quickly become one of the top touristic destinations in the World; Dubai tourism has grown exponentially and well it's ironic still how many people don't have a clue where Dubai is located! In this article, I will talk about what Dubai has to offer and we'll uncover the secrets of its popularity.

The Residence De Tourisme Concept In Ski Resorts

Ski resorts are taking on the Residence de Tourisme concept to an increasing extent these days. The idea has been around since the 1980s, but do you know what it involves and what are its advantages? This article explains everything.
A Residence de Tourisme is an apartment block that is intended exclusively for tourist use. This gives the apartment owners the official status of being a 'Loueur en Meuble' (providers of furnished accommodation) which entitles them to claim back the VAT on the purchase price of the property. It can be applied to anyone, and represents a great opportunity for buying to rent. The buyer owns the apartment outright and decides at the time of purchase how many weeks he would like to occupy it himself.
He then draws up a contract with an agency which is responsible for renting out the apartment for the remaining weeks, thus guaranteeing an income.
Another advantage is that the occupiers of an apartment in a Residence de Tourisme enjoy a whole range of top quality hotel facilities. So what do these facilities involve? Investing in a Residence de Tourisme removes all the usual constraints and hassles of being a 'classic' owner; such the cleaning, laundry, and periodic maintenance of the apartment. It also allows access to some high quality services like spas, saunas, hammams, swimming pools, fitness rooms, well being treatments etc.
Every ski resort needs to manage its property developments, offering top class facilities and optimising occupation rates; On average most residences are occupied for 15 weeks each winter, which is a lot more than is usual for classic apartments. In addition, clients in winter sports resorts value the apres ski culture. Holidaymakers now expect to have a range of facilities available to maximise their comfort and enjoyment. So from the client's point of view, the Residence de Tourisme is the way forward.
